I hope this email finds you happy and pleased with how the summer turned out. I googled you the other day because I’d heard Jean and Mike (I listen all the time to Classical 96.3 because Jean and Mike are terrific) sing your praises on the radio. I can’t remember why but they were talking about what a good actor and acting coach you are. An acting coach for singers, what does that mean? And secondly, what are you working on now?

Thanks for the note; with pleasure I’ll pass on your regards to Jean and Mike. I am helping Jean prep for an opera, which is probably why my name came up on their show. An acting coach for singers is exactly what it sounds like; working with a singer on the story of a song just like an actor would do with a monologue or script. Most singers also work with a vocal coach on the music.

Aside from coaching I am having a ball working on a new show called “I Love You Just By Chance” that is being directed by Sandra Shamas. Working with Sandra and Patti Loach is very merrymaking. “I Love You Just By Chance” is a collection of songs and stories that begins with finding an old picture of my grandfather. Stay tuned; (who knew today would be a three semi colon day!) there will be more updates, as we get closer to our performance dates.

I look forward to meeting you at one of the shows.
